Position Overview
AST SpaceMobile is seeking an experienced and highly organized Inbound Senior Manager to oversee all inbound warehouse operations across multiple company sites. This position will be responsible for leading receiving operations, inventory intake processes, material flow coordination, scrap management programs, and enterprise-wide recycling initiatives.
The Inbound Senior Manager will play a critical role in ensuring efficient receipt, inspection, movement, and disposition of incoming materials that support manufacturing, production, engineering, and operational teams. This leader will drive process standardization, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization across all inbound logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all inbound warehouse and receiving operations across multiple company facilities.
- Manage day-to-day receiving operations, including incoming material verification, inspection coordination, documentation, and inventory system updates.
- Develop standardized receiving procedures and material handling processes across all sites to ensure operational consistency.
- Oversee enterprise scrap management processes, including identification, segregation, disposition, tracking, and reporting of scrap materials.
- Manage company-wide recycling programs focused on sustainability, waste reduction, and environmental compliance initiatives.
- Establish and maintain inventory control procedures for incoming raw materials, components, assemblies, and production-critical hardware.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless material availability.
- Monitor inbound logistics performance metrics including receiving accuracy, dock-to-stock cycle times, inventory discrepancies, and warehouse throughput.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency, material flow optimization, and reduction of process bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company operating procedures.
- Manage vendor delivery issues, receiving discrepancies, damaged goods investigations, and non-conforming material processes.
- Lead and develop warehouse supervisors, receiving personnel, and material handling teams while building scalable operational processes for future growth.
- Manage inbound operational budgets related to receiving functions, waste management programs, and recycling operations.
- Coordinate cross-site warehouse operations to support enterprise production schedules and inventory demands.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant operational leadership experience may be considered.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing warehouse, receiving, or distribution teams.
- Experience overseeing multi-site warehouse or distribution center operations strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing inbound receiving operations in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience implementing scrap control, waste management, or recycling process improvements.
- Strong background in inventory management systems and warehouse process optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within aerospace, satellite manufacturing, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or high-volume industrial production environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise inventory systems such as ERP, MRP, or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience supporting lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling, environmental compliance standards, and industrial recycling programs.
- Experience managing large-scale warehouse teams across multiple operational sites.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations supporting high-complexity manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to inspect material handling operations, storage areas, and warehouse infrastructure.
- Ability to travel periodically between operational sites as required.
- Ability to work in fast-paced production and industrial environments with varying operational demands.
