Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to work as Intern (m/f/d) Launch Systems Engineering. You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Then apply for us.
Your Tasks
- Contribute to the development of launch systems from concept to manufacturing (end-to-end)
- Work with the Launch team to set and define requirements for various work packages across different projects
- Clearly document work packages and requirements, according to company standards
- Design and analysis of major sub-systems of the launch site and vehicle interfaces (i.e. mechanical, fluidic, electrical systems)
- Integration, troubleshooting and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems (from the office and potentially on site)
- Conduct hands-on testing, gather data, and analyze results
Your Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Fluid Processes, Civil Engineering, or a related field for the duration of the internship
- Demonstrated experience working with complex multidisciplinary projects (i.e. in student rocketry or automotive teams)
- Able to identify the big picture and the different levels of complexity of the launch site systems
- Capable of working independently, while prioritizing various tasks
- Experience with CAD (preferably Siemens NX), P&IDs, or programming skills (Excel VBA, Python, Matlab) are a plus
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Hands-on experience with tools and equipment in a lab or manufacturing setting
