Our international and agile team is looking for support from a motivated person as a Propulsion Test Technician (f/m/d). You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Your Tasks
- Serve as in the field test operator and technician during all propulsion hot-fire campaigns
- Take responsibility of engine assembly processes and in-situ upgrades to the test hardware
- Test integrated engines to determine acceptability for flight
- Assembly, Integration, troubleshooting and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Perform hardware reviews to evaluate the performance of test articles and stand systems (operations, quality, structural, fluids, electrical).
- Find innovative ways to create, review, and optimize testing processes/procedures to increase test system capability and cadence.
- Manage the execution of projects within extremely short timelines
- Align resources to accomplish key objectives, assign clear accountability for important objectives
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Your Qualifications
- Higher education or apprenticeship in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in operating industrial manufacturing machines such as lathe, mill, drill and saw
- Willingness to travel and work flexibly around RFAs test and launch sites
- Experience with assembly manuals and hardware assembly processes
- Understanding of fluidic processes such as pneumatics and hydraulics
- Beneficial: experience with instrumentation: pressure, temperature, piezoelectric, strain gauge, load cells, flowmeters
- Hands-on experience in test operations preferably for propulsion projects
- Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English) Self-independent, a structured way of working and committed to working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Calm and confident way of communication even in high stress situations
