SpaceX shares fall 4% premarket as post-IPO rally cools
SpaceX
SpaceX dropped 4.31% in Monday premarket trading, continuing a selloff that erased gains across Wednesday and Thursday last week. The stock remained 37% above its $135 IPO price at Thursday's close, but the average investor who bought after the June 12 debut had seen nearly all paper gains disappear by week's end. SpaceX posted a $4.9 billion 2025 net loss and a $4.28 billion loss in Q1 2026. The slide followed two large SpaceX capital commitments: a roughly $60 billion all-stock deal to acquire AI startup Cursor and a planned debut bond sale of at least $20 billion.

Strategas' Todd Sohn compared the rush to earlier Nvidia and Tesla launches; issuers warned the products are not built for buy-and-hold retail investors.

Northrop Grumman pushes Pentagon for longer solid rocket motor contracts
NOC
Northrop Grumman propulsion systems vice president James Kalberer said industry can scale solid rocket motor output to meet Pentagon missile-procurement plans but needs longer multiyear contract terms to justify supply-chain investment. He told SpaceNews that program-specific multiyear authority does not reach second- and third-tier suppliers of propellant chemicals and materials. A recent CSIS report flagged solid motors as a bottleneck across the U.S. missile industrial base.
